36 weeks

Baby Adrian is physically ready to make her appearance. Her lungs are in working order, and if not she would just need a little TLC if she made her arrival now. Her kidney and liver and in full working order too. She is now just hanging out in my belly and plumping up. She now the size of a honeydew!!!!

I had my 36 week check up yesterday and the DR said baby is doing great and is pretty plump in there with all the milk and cookies I have been loving to eat. Im up 34lbs, ooops, so the DR said to slow down on the sweets otherwise I will be having a big ole baby! Overall I'm feeling great and im just waiting for Adrian to decide she is ready to meet me and Justin.

Also the doctor informed me that I am already having contractions so this baby is really getting ready to make her appearance. I thought it was funny when the doctor pointed my contraction out at my appointment because I didn't even know thats what the tight feeling in my belly was. I just assumed it was Adrian stretching out in there making my stomach just feel really tight, Nope! My body is getting ready and she is guessing it will be just a few more weeks and Adrian will be here!!!!

Maternity pictures

Yesterday I had a life long friend take my maternity pictures.  It's so wild to think I have known her since we were about 7 years old and here we are 20 years later with babies/babies on the way!

If you need a baby or maternity photographer I would definitely give her a call! Here is her site and you can also find her on Facebook for her most recent work, just look up Stacie Hart photography.

She gave us a sneak peak of 3 pictures last night, and has me checking constantly for more pictures.  They are just so awesome and I just have to share!

35 weeks and 35 days to go!!!

WHOOOO HOOOOOO!  I don't know if you know how excited I am that I can see the light at the end of the baby tunnel.  This pregnancy has been super great and I have felt overall wonderful.  I am just so ready to meet Adrian in the next few weeks and hope my body no longer aches the way it does now (carrying around an extra 30lbs!)

This week Adrian is the size of a coconut and is fully grown in length!  She is now officially adding on the pounds along with me!  Her hearing has fully developed and she will respond to high pitches noises.  This is a fact, I know, because I have a pretty high pitched voice and when I raise it shes starts to rumble in my belly.  Last night when I would laugh really loud or raise my voice a little it was wild! she would kick her feet out and Justin and I could actually feel her foot!!!!

This week we have been preparing to bring Adrian home!  We got Justin's car seat, thanks to his wonderful dad and Step-mom, and it was a breeze to install.  Well, then we got around to installing my car seat, not a fun time!  The end result is that the car seat we had picked out with a wonderful matching stroller it clicked into, does not work for the Maxima.  So back to the store to get the right car seat to fit our car.  I would recommend googling you car BEFORE picking out a car seat.  We found out the Nissan website lists car seats that work properly for the car, so I definitely recommend doing this so you won't wind up being like us!

Also this weekend is going to be fun filled with baby things! Saturday we have a birthing class that is all day long and then dinner with a cousin to hang out and go shopping in the basement for last little baby things we need.  Then Sunday is maternity pictures with a friend I have known since I was 7!  It was supposed to we Friday, but I'm happy the weather is switching up the days because this way Justin can be in some of the pictures!!!

I will get the hubs to post the belly pic and as soon as i get copies of the maternity pictures I will post them too!!!

34 Weeks!

Baby Adrian is the size of a butternut squash this week! She is weighing about 4 1/2 lbs and around 17" long.  From all the moving and kicking I can tell she is getting pretty cramped in there :)

The bump has informed me that I need to watch what I say because Adrian is now on full alert and is learning my voice and will enjoy a lullaby or too.  They say the songs we start singing now she will love once she is born.  Lord help these baby's ears, because I do not have a singing bone in my body and I sure don't know any lullabies.  I have decided that I will play Pandora and sing along to songs that I really enjoy, so maybe I can just turn on that when she is born and that will sooth her.

I will try not to complain about how I am feeling because I just looked and I complained last week that I couldn't sleep, but man its not getting any easier.  I wake up in the middle of the night just laying in bed with my sides hurting and back aching wishing I could just find a comfortable position to fall back to sleep.  Also my bladder is completely smashed so I spend those other times awake visiting the lovely potty.  My poor husband knows the time is closing in so every time I get out of bed he starts saying my name in a panic like its time haha.  Poor guy :(

In exciting news, next Friday I have a maternity shoot by a friend I have known since I was in 2nd grade!  Also the photographer that is doing my newborn session could possibly be in town for the birth and has talked about coming to shoot that (no crotch shots though don't worry hehe).  How awesome would professional pictures of her birth be!!! AHHHH I'm very excited and hope it all works out.

Time is closing in and Justin and I are just so excited we cannot wait to meet our sweet baby!!!!!

33 weeks

Whew.... I am up and going today.  I give myself a pat on the back.  Over the weekend I have definitely started feeling the effects of being pregnant.  My feet look like tree trunks by the end of the day, My ribs are permanently bruised from the kicking and moving, and its impossible for me to sleep through the night.  My alarm goes of at 5:00am for work and every morning I'm pretty sure out loud I say "seriously".  I know I am in the home stretch and have a little over a month and a sweet baby will be here!

Adrian is now the size f a Durian... seriously bump.com that's the nastiest fruit ever! I mean you couldn't think of another fruit.  The only reason I know this is because I saw an episode of Bizarre Foods and this fruit was on it.  The host of the show said the fruit smells of body odor and just feet fungus. EWWW why would the bump compare your baby to this?!?!?  She is just getting plumper weighing around 4 lbs and is around 16" long!

I measured my belly and 16 inches is pretty much from my pelvic area all the way to tops of my ribs, yep she is a little crowded in there!  At my check up yesterday the doctor (who's name is Adrian :)  ) said Adrian is head down and ready for her decent!  Heart beat of 147 and she is doing good!!!

The bump also informed me I need to install the car seat and have my hospital/ baby bag ready... I guess I know what I will be doing this weekend!!!
