Family Weekend

Oh how I love jam packed weekends spent with Family.  They always remind you of how much you are loved and let you just be you!

This weekend we spend Saturday and part of Sunday jumping around Carrollton visiting with Justin's family.  We haven't been to visit the grandma's in a while, so it was so great to catch up and let them see the tiny belly and give their guess on what it will be! We spent most of Saturday afternoon with Grandma Head who does quilting like its her job.  I mean these quilts are so cute I wan't to buy the ones she makes and sells, also she even sews most of them by hand!  She had already made a quilt for sweet Baby Head so I am so excited to share it....

And of course I called her for help for the baby bedding.  Below are some pictures of the eventful day of putting all the pieces together and sewing it all up!.  I was sooooo nervous to use her 50+ year old sewing machine, but it was great!

this is when the pieces were in a frame to get everything even and tight so it wouldn't bunch up when we sewed all the layers together

That evening we stayed with Justin's mom and step dad.  We spent the evening at a great Italian restaurant on the Carrollton square (were Justin and I actually had our 1st date-- different owners now but same spot) then went home and Justin's mom broke out Justin's baby stuff.  It was so fun to see all his tiny clothes and go through his baby book.  I can't wait for sweet Peanut to wear Daddy's clothes!!!   For all of you that don't know, Justin's dad is a taxidermist and has been for around 30+years.   Below is a tee shirt Justin wore and I can not wait for Peanut to wear, to support his Papa!!!

Of course our dogs go with us every where, and my oldest 4 legged baby, Maggie, needed some lovin' too :)

Sunday we left Justin's moms and headed to Alpharetta to spend the evening with the crazy Toothaker clan.  We went to dinner, then off to the park to let Jane play.  Of course I got in the play place and joined the fun with the rest of the kids while the whole family laughed as the slide looked like it was going to break when my fat butt went down.  My dad is off to surgery today for bursitis, so it was great to get everyone together.  I'm sure he will be fine, he's a stubborn ole' man :)  Here are pictures from the park and crazy Jane in Pop's Porsche wishing she could drive it (don't we all Jane, don't we all....)
