seeing peanut for the first time

Yesterday was my second visit to the doctor, and this time it was just to see the baby on the ultra sound.  I could not have been more pumped and was really hopping I would get to hear the heartbeat too.  I wish so much Justin could have joined, but i completely understand with his work schedule, and luckly my doctors office is awesome and gave me a cd with pictures!  

I arrived at my appointment 20 min early because I was so excited.  Luckily I didnt wait that long to get to see our sweet little baby Head (PS its gained the name peanut by Justin).  As soon as the tech found the baby I think i immediately teared up.  It was the cutest little blip I have ever seen on a screen.  Me and the tech decided it looked like a little gummy bear holding a balloon :).  Then she let me hear the heart beat and truely lost it.  It was the sweetest thing I have ever heard.  It put comfort in my heart to know our little peanut was doing great.  She said im exactly on track by the measurement and with a heart beat of 165 peanut is right on track.  

I took a picture with my phone of my sweet little gummy bear on the screen and sent out texts to the entire family! I was so overwhelmed with excitement!  I always thought before I was pregnant that the ultrasound pictures were kind of silly and so hard to figure out what the heck you are looking at, but now I completely get it.  This is your only pictures you have of the sweet baby growing inside of you until you get to meet them in person.

Justin and I are so excited and keep taking everyday one day at a time and keep praying for the sweet peanut to stay healthy and grow away.  I don't go to the doctor again until August 7th so i will be impatiently waiting until the day I get to see our peanut again.
